Other comments

It is an ephermal plant, which inhabits moist shady areas and is of microhabitat specific. Has close association with bamboo. Tuber may be adulterated with other medicinal Nervilia species. Studies on commercial sampling for adulterant is necessary. Tubers are relished by the wild bores, banquets and other herbivores that affect the regeneration.
