Barks used to cure cancer by CDRI. Seeds and bark used as medicine in Ayurveda. Seed oil is used for rheumatism. Bark is traded for Rs.80/-per Kg. (K.R.Keshava murthy). One of the early flowering trees, which flowers after 5th year of its planting. Proportion global population in Tamil Nadu < 10%.
