The current holdings of the garden cover 375 genera and 120 families and as we keep adding unique species, these number will keep going up.

These Medicinal plants are laid out in a user friendly and informative way with 32 thematic sections based on their unique features, habit, habitats etc. These themes include plants used in Primary health care, skin & hair care, dye yielding, Aromatic medicinal plants, highly traded medicinal plants etc to name a few. Each of these themes consists of 25-35 plant species accompanied by signage with brief information about their local names, botanical name, description, distribution and medicinal uses.
